5 Steps to Setting Up Fitness Goals

1. Set ONE goal at a time- Establishing one goal at a time helps you visualize a beginning and an end, along with being able to notice the progress you've been making. It will be easier to accomplish one goal rather than trying to tackle everything.

2. Personal- Your goal should be YOURS. Don’t go with what you see in social media or what professionals do. Find something that excites YOU not someone else. This will help you fully enjoy the rewards and satisfaction it produces.

3. Set small victories- Achievements along the way will help you stay motivated and confident.


4. Be flexible- Many times, things don’t result the way we want them to be, but it is in us to change and adapt. It is better to be flexible in modifying or rearranging our plans than to give up.


5. Make it SMART

  • Specific- clear and simple
  • Measurable- metrics 
  • Achievable- attainable
  • Relevant- reasonable
  • Time-bound- set a specific length of time
